Current: Oklahoma City Free Press – 3,500+ news reports
This local, independent, online news site established in 2016 is focused on the core of Oklahoma City government, education and culture. Brett developed the concept, built the site, established social media, and, in the early years, wrote all the reports, and did all the photography.
Now, as editor, he coordinates a crew of freelancers who cover government and life in OKC with a style and perspective unlike other news outlets in the city. As of August 2024, Brett has contributed over 1,300 reports to the site. The site has over 3,400 reports published so far.
